On paper, I hold a bachelor's degree in English and a degree in Information Technology. I worked in two schools. First, as a Discipline Officer, and second as an Educator/Lecturer. Today I am a Writer/Contributor for Interaksyon.com, an online news portal. You can see some of my work in the Featured Articles page.
But at the core, this is who I am:
I believe in a better world. I believe that people are born good and have the strength to overcome the corruption that is so rampantly growing in the world. I believe that people, though rational animals, have souls that need to stay healthy as do our bodies.
I believe in the Divine. I believe in YOU. I believe that I am no greater or no less than you, although different, with methods and skills that vary from your own. I believe that all people are special and can be made better from whatever pain they experience. I refuse to believe that the world is hell because it can be beautiful. I believe in heaven, that it is as much a state of mind and being, as it is the effect of the good that we do in our short lives.
I believe all this because of my experiences. I know what it is to be sad and afraid; to be angry and alone. Though I was a relatively sheltered child, I didn't value this and lost all that I had. I know what it is to have nothing - not even my name. But it is in the darkness that I realised how illuminating this life can be.
On my down time, I hang out with my wife, my siblings, and my puppy named Wookie. I love watching films and plan to write screenplays in the future. I love pizza -- all my students know this, since I always use it as an example in class. I love the outdoors, though I find certain aspects of the city fascinating, like the holes in the walls and the variety of stalls in the parks. I find the internet intriguing and addicting. There are times when I just want to pick up a book, but get caught up by a rabbit hole on YouTube.. I'm sure you understand. I am trying to get into surfing and I think I might be pretty good at it, but I don't go out to the surf enough. I pray and meditate. That always clears my head. When I feel good, I sing and dance and joke around.
I started this blog because I want to share positivity to the universe and the people in it. I want to get some good thoughts and feelings out there. I want to be positive, myself, as I know that there will be days that I'm not. I want to express insight in a world that I believe desperately needs it, not because I can solve the desperation, but because I hope I can somehow help some people through theirs. I'm just doing what I can with what I've got, as I cross my fingers and hope it works somehow.
